For nursery groups and their boards
You can't manage a risk you can't see.
Across a growing estate, most sites look fine on paper. The ones that don't are usually the ones nobody's looked at closely yet.
What's harder to see as you grow
Policy is set centrally. What actually happens on site is harder to know.
Safeguarding, staffing and compliance can look consistent on paper and vary in practice across a large estate.
By the time a gap becomes visible — to Ofsted, your board, or a buyer — it's usually already cost you something.
Most groups only find out what's really happening at site level once something's already gone wrong.
The Quick Start — one site, and what you're not seeing.
We call it a Quick Start: a fixed-scope, fixed-cost review of a single one of your centres — a straight, honest look at what's really happening there, set out in a short written report your board or investment committee can act on directly.
No new system. No lengthy programme. Small enough to just say yes to.
If it turns up something worth acting on, there's a clear next step. If it doesn't, you've lost one short conversation and gained a real answer.
What happens after the Quick Start
The Quick Start is where this begins, not where it ends. If it turns up something worth watching, most groups start building what we'd call operational awareness — a shared, honest picture of what's actually happening, available to whoever needs to see it: a centre director who wants reassurance they're not missing something, an area director covering more sites than they can visit in person, a board that needs a straight answer, and anyone weighing what the estate is actually worth. Not a system watching over anyone — the same reality, visible from wherever you sit. From there, if it's useful, that awareness can extend across more of your sites, and in time cover the whole estate.
None of this replaces the judgement of the people on site — it exists so that judgement is never running on a guess. And underneath all of it is the reason any of this matters in the first place: the children being cared for at every one of your sites.
Each step is agreed and costed on its own, and nothing is assumed until you decide it's worth doing. The Quick Start is the only thing on offer today — everything after it is a conversation for once you've seen what it turns up.
Whatever you've already got is enough
A spreadsheet, an export from whatever system you already use, or nothing written down at all — any of it is enough to start. If something important has never been recorded, we'll help you capture it properly.
Where you never need to worry
We never collect data about children, families or staff, and we never make decisions about safeguarding, SEND or people matters. That judgement stays with your team, always. Our work gives you a clearer view — it doesn't take a decision out of your hands.
Why us
We've worked inside chains like Busy Bees, and across independent nurseries sector-wide.
We're not software, and we're not selling a platform. We'll always tell you plainly whether taking the next step is worth it.
